WE
CONGRATULATE ALL OF OUR 2005-2006 CALIFORNIA FLYERS TEAM MEMBERS FOR MAKING THEIR HIGH SCHOOL TEAMS! WE ARE PROUD THAT AFTER THEIR
YEAR OF HARD WORK THEY HAD THE CHANCE TO SHOW IT OFF AND MAKE IT ONTO
FRESHMAN, JUNIOR VARSITY, AND VARSITY TEAMS ALL ACROSS OUR VALLEY!
EVERY SINGLE MEMBER MADE IT! AND WE WISH YOU THE BEST OF FUN!
Owner, Shelly Gramatky returned to the GSSA (Golden State
Spirit Association) Coaches' Convention as a guest speaker this year.
Several Ca. Flyers members attended to demonstrate Stunt technique,
Basket tosses and how to perfect that routine. With rave reviews from
coaches all over Southern California, we personally thank Melissa
Carr, Melissa Lincoln, Haley & Brooke Garelick, Lindsey Simnowski,
Chandler White and Chelsea McLaughlin for being helpful and positive!
Shelly
also passed on the title of Coach of the Year to
a newly appointed Coach, for the Year 2006 - Annie Orhi. Annie is
from Rim of the World and dedicated her past year to helping the Hurricane
Katrina victims. She and her team raised thousands of dollars to help
a local school in need. They even went as far as getting other California
High Schools to donate needed items such as Prom dresses, formal decorations
etc. so that the victims of the Hurricane could still try and have
something normal during their school year! We are honored to have
a coach like this in California!
CONGRATULATIONS
to OUR CALIFORNIA FLYERS 'COACH OF THE YEAR'!
Shelly Gramatky - Owner/Program Director/head choreographer
and coach won the title of 'COACH OF THE YEAR' by the Golden
State Spirit Association April 29, 2005 at the Annual Coaches'
Conference in Marina Del Rey.
There were 3 other All Star nominees, chosen in January, from the
pool of coaches in the state of California. The other nominees are
incredible and Shelly was amazed she had won, and felt completely
honored considering the that the other coaches involved are from Pyramids
All Stars, Platinum and Vipers All Stars (all amazing programs). The
most thrilling part of the weekend was being able to see students
from California Flyers represent our program and do such an incredible
job!
Congratulations
to Brittany Koons and Crystal Sullivan
for being nominated and chosen for the Golden State Spirit Association's
All State Spirit Team for 2005! They were chosen out of 90 talented
candidates across the State of California! They sent in videos displaying
interests, hobbies, school accomplishments, talents, friends and family.
They also sent in letters of recommendations, scholastic achievements,
service projects, and were selected as the top 20 cheerleaders in
the state! We are so proud of Brittany and Crystal, and the dedication
to our all star program! They were invited to appear at the Annual
Coaches Conference in Marina Del Rey to demonstrate their skills and
showcase their talents in front of speakers and coaches from around
the Nation! They represented well, and both received scholarships
to the college of their choice for $300. California Flyers sends them
off with the biggest Congratulations, and with our support and thanks
for all that you have blessed us with.
Cody Glen (Sr/Power Team member) has been accepted to Long Beach
State, and has made the Coed team! Cody has also been accepted by
the US Spiritleaders (Cheer Company based in Long Beach). He will
be working along side coaches Jasmine, Cathy, and Shelly to teach
over 3000 cheerleaders camp material over the summer. Congrats on
all your accomplishments!
Mindy
Romeka (SR/Power Team member) tried out for the Nationally ranked
Palomar Cheerleading team and has made the all-girl competition team!
Congrats to you for continuing your cheer career!
Ultimate
Cheer Challenge
California Flyers member Jessica Lincoln, and Gymcheer USA
member Chelsea Rollins, along with 3 other Hart Stunt group
teammates qualified for the West Coast Ultimate Cheer Challenge in
the American Cheerleader Magazine. They are featured in the April
and June edition (click here
to view pages in PDF format). In round 1 they competed against 4 other
stunt groups. Everyone cast their votes, and they made it to round
2. We congratulate them for making it as 2nd runner up to the Title
of "The Ultimate Cheer Challenge"! Congratulations!
The
Golden State's Greatest!
CONGRATS! Our very own Erica Stark (SR/Power Team member) made
the GSSA All State Team and received a scholarship prize of $750.00
which she has chosen to use towards Long Beach State! She also recently
tried out for the Nationally ranked Cheerleading Coed Team for Long
Beach and made it with flying colors! :) We are proud of you!
The
All State Team performed at the annual Golden State Spirit Association's
Coaches' Conference (GSSA) and did a phenomenal job! Erica learned
the routine through watching a video, and practiced with the team
for less than an hour. Her performance was awesome, and finished with
her beautiful split full! :) Way to go!
